Keeping hair straight?

i like to straighten my hair. but i need it to stay straight the whole day. how do i do that w/hair gel? please help! best awnser gets 10 points!!! :) ok i use a hair straightner but how do i put on the gel to keep it straight? or what do i do first/or what works better hair spray or gel?

Keeping hair straight?

When your hair is wet, work the gel through it to get everything all slick. Blow dry it straight in sections. When your hair is completely dry, flat iron it in sections, spraying it with extra hold hairspray. When you're done straightening, run a brush through it to make it nice and soft.

Keeping hair straight?

use sunsilk {purple},or John Frida!

good luck

Keeping hair straight?

there are sprays/lotions/gels that keep ur hair straight for the whole day, jus go to the drugstore and look for some

i use got 2 b crazy sleek

there are also shampoos that jumpstart ur style in the shower

Keeping hair straight?

you have to use some kind of product before and after you straighten

a spray would work best

good luck!

What brand of hair products is good? (pantene, dove, aussie, herbal?) for curly/wavy & straight

i switch brands so much i've used so many of them but which one is the best, i'm thinking of trying Aussie hair products next is that brand any good?

oh and i have curly/wavy hair %26amp; i need a good brand with mouse %26amp; hair spray for scrunching

also i need more shine in my hair

and since i have bangs i need to falt iron them what works for keeping them straight %26amp; non-frizzy?

what brand(s) do u think will fit me the most?

any brand suggestions?

thanks!

What brand of hair products is good? (pantene, dove, aussie, herbal?) for curly/wavy %26amp; straight hair?

For curly/wavy hair i love TIGI catwalk shampoo and conditioner for curly hair and the amplifying cream they carry, leaves soooo soft and easily manageable, the cream amps ur curls up for scrunching. for straight hair i like the Matrix sleek shampoo and cond. in the orange bottle, leaves hair smooth and super shiny especially when flat ironed

herbal...is great.

dove is good

have you ever tried Sunsilk

it is really great

What brand of hair products is good? (pantene, dove, aussie, herbal?) for curly/wavy %26amp; straight hair?

Best to keep switching brands - none of them are perfect. Tresemme is good. So is Fructis. Find a few you like and alternate between them.

What brand of hair products is good? (pantene, dove, aussie, herbal?) for curly/wavy %26amp; straight hair?

These are good Dove, Pantene, Finnesse. I hear dat tresseme and sunsilk work REALLY WELL but I havent tryd them yet...dont use da onein da green bottle garnier fructis it will make yo hair fall out.

Frequent changing the brands are chances to getting bold. So please be careful

What brand of hair products is good? (pantene, dove, aussie, herbal?) for curly/wavy %26amp; straight hair?

Aussie is defenitily one of the best hair care lines available at drug store prices. The 3-minute miracle conditioner never fails. If your willing to spend a little more, Jonathon hair products work great! They're available on Sephora.com, and they will hold up in any weather...you will never see frizz, even in the worst conditions!

Why is my hair dye fadingg?

So I used a permanent Blue-Black dye almost a month and a half, maybe two months ago. I straighten my hair daily and put bedhead manipulator and hair spray in my hair... I also shampoo and condition daily. The dye in my hair is fading a bit, like... it's still black, but with a reddish or dark brown tint, it's buggin me so I'mma get it touched up, but what can I do different to keep the dye in longer? and I am using the once a week color treat conditioner and color treated hair friendly shampoo and conditioner. Could it be the straightening? Like if it's turned up too much or if I'm clamping down too hard or going too slow?

Why is my hair dye fadingg?

what brand of color are you using?? yes using a flat iron on your hair-especially on very high heat will remove color out of your hair. another question for you-what color is your hair naturally?? if its lighter than black, even the best color might fade out, especially if you have fine hair. are you on any medications?-that would be another factor. I would get a better color care shampoo and conditioner. also....in both manipulator (love it though) and hairspray...there is alcohol...which could also add to the fact of your hair fading. BedHead Manipulator is awesome-why do you need the hairspray with it?? Oh and im not saying that straightening your hair will really make the color come out completely-it will over a period of time with alot of heat.(i have curly hair and i obviously color it) ;) to keep my color in- i use Wella Color Preserve Shampoo and Conditioner-thats the only thing i found that ever kept my color in longer. i once ran out and used something else, just once and that day everyone kept asking if my hair was a different color. that proved a point to me. i have fine hair but tons of it and it seems to me that fine hair always takes color differently than hair that is more coarse. Coarse hair seems to just soak the color up. Also being that you have really dark hair to begin with-you have alot of red undertone. i would suggest getting something with an ash in it- not blue....it will cancel out the red that you dont want.

Why is my hair dye fadingg?

was it permanant? also, it could be just fading. mine took 4 days to stop the "bleeding" process b4 it stayed the color it was dyed.

Why is my hair dye fadingg?

stop shampooing ever day you are washing the dye away.

Why is my hair dye fadingg?

be couse when u was it some of ur hair falls out so its robing with make the sampoo stuff in if it make ur hair color fade

Why is my hair dye fadingg?

You need to use a specific kind of shampoo and conditioner to keep the dye in, it helps not to shampoo it at all the first day or two with black, to just rinse your hair out, and I would also suggest not using Suave or something like that, spend more money on Shampoo and Conditioners, its worth it in the long run.

Why is my hair dye fadingg?

Usually washing your hair is what has the most impact on fading... the more you touch it up, the less it will fade. To help you can get special conditioners (various brands depending on your price range) that have a hint of color in them that help keep your hair from fading... when i used them i did it every week and it worked pretty well.

Why is my hair dye fadingg?

use conditioners that will keep the colour in...plus leave it alone on weekends...like on a sataday or sunday leave it alome then wash it on a sunday to get rid of grease or whatever ^_^ i did the same thing, but i accidently dyed it black...streightening naturally takes out the colour

Why is my hair dye fadingg?

Um, because you shampoo daily, use heat and product everyday. Hair dye isn't perfect. It's gonna fade, permanent or not, if you add too much heat, or product or even too much sun. If you want it to last longer, straighten your hair once a week, use less product and only wash every other day or so. Even then, it'll still fade. Blue tones are kind of difficult to keep, and your natural hair will always shine through.

Why is my hair dye fadingg?

It could be lack of protein in your hair. And protein is what make's it grasp on to your hair and stay in. normally when you dye your hair the first washed should take down the dye a little bit, and then no more. So I would try and use a shampoo that is sulfate free, (sulfate does not mix with the hair dye, and makes it fade fast) try using back to basics color stay. if you striaghten it every day you should use a serum (chi serum works the best) to gaurd your hair cuticle which contains the dye. Shampoo only everyother day, and then condition everyday.

Why is my hair dye fadingg?

It is not designed to be permanent! In fact, no hair dye is!

Why is my hair dye fadingg?

maybe going to a hairdressers to get it dyed would help, as they will know the right products to use.

i got my hair dyed at the hairdressers the other month and the advice they gave me to help stop it fading as fast is after you have washed your hair leave the conditioner on, for around an hour, then jump back in the shower and wash it out thoroughly

it gives more moisture to the hair and keeps the color locked in for longer :)

and my hair color now is the same as when i got it done a month ago!

hope i helped :)

Why is my hair dye fadingg?

If you will use cool water and shampoo with a color care shampoo and conditioner, it will really cut down on the fading! Hot water will make your color fade, big time! Redken color extend shampoo and conditioner are great! Good luck!

Why is my hair dye fadingg?

its prolly the straightening.. straighetning makes my highlighs and stuff fade but its retarted becuase i have to straighten my hair or i look like a monkey on speed :[ lmao. you probably just have to get it touched up and stuff! =D

Tips on curling hair please?

hi my 7 year olds got her school disco later and i really want to curl half her hair and

pin it up the prob is is that her hair is so long and thick that the curls fall out very fast ive got good hair spray im not the best at doing hair any tips on how to curl or how to make it hold anything would be wonderfull i use my hair straitners to curl it,thanks

Tips on curling hair please?

theres many ways you can curl your hair it depends on how big you wnat the curls if you just want it wavy wash your hair and plat it and leave it overnight so when you take it out it will be curly, if you want party curls use curling irons and spray hairspray on eachof the curls and it will keep them like it for ages...or you can get a tempory perm most hairdressers do this or you can wash your hair and put them in rollers theres many ways but to make them stay in use a really good hairspray because it makes the curls firm so its harder for them to release!!

Hope it helped

Tips on curling hair please?

u kno wat dear..%26gt;%26gt; ur 7 year old cud look lovely without these artificial curls.......%26gt;%26gt; let her be free %26amp; natural..!! her innocent beauty is enuf to make her look differnt in her school party,,!!

all the best.!!

Tips on curling hair please?

get some bendy curlers from Boots or Superdrug, damp the hair and curl as many as you like. Blow dry with a hair dryer and then when you style it, use hair spray. Hope it works.

Tips on curling hair please?

best way to get the curly affect and it not fall out it to wave your hair.. at night after your bath/shower.. take your hair put moose, gel, and then tie it in a bun on your head.. take any extra hair sticking out of bun and tie another hair tie around it..then use hairspray..sleep with it in a BAM!! lol have fun

Tips on curling hair please?

Don't curl it with a curling iron because that would wreck her hair. Braid it the night before she has her disco and in the morning take it out and spray with hair spray. Or when her hair is wet grab sections of her hair and twist into buns then tie fabric around each piece. Hope this helps!

Tips on curling hair please?

I was about to say ,she's a child buy a party wig from the toy shop but Sultry beat me to it with with silver tongue and eloquence, well said Sultry!

Tips on curling hair please?

Dont use a curling iron for her so it doesnt fry her hair. Insteaf use the Wrap Snap %26amp; Go curlers. You just keep them in overnight and take them out in the morning.

Tips on curling hair please?

use strong moouse on her hair wet first and blow dry with a defuser then the curling process will be a lot easier put a little hairspray on the strand of hair first then curl with the straighteners....

Straight Hair !!!?

I Hate Walking To School I Straigthing My Hair Every Day And Before I Get To School My Hair Is Not Straigth :S I Use Ghd Stylers And I Have The Following Produts : Mark Hill Straigthing Balm , FrizzEase , Toni And Guy Serum , Elnet Hair Spray Tell Me How I Can Make My Hair Straigth From Home To School x Thank You x

Straight Hair !!!?

Schools not a fashion show you know.

You go there to learn!!!

Straight Hair !!!?

i thinkk hairdressers can straighten hair, but if are you young you may have to ask your parents permission.

Straight Hair !!!?

I get that. people who turn up at school looking perfect and untouched. There hair is straight and everything?

You ask them what straighteners they use and they say GHDs. and then you realise a few years later that MAYBE they just have naturally straight hair. Which is rather unfair to those of us who DONT.

sorry for not answering your question. I jst needed to voice my opinion! x x x x x

Straight Hair !!!?

JEESBUS!

IM SOOO SUPRISED THAT YOU HAVE ANY HAIR LEFT!!

I call it GHD syndrome!

What happens is that you start using those piggin GHD's and eventually you start to convince yourself that your hair is no longer straight like it 'used to be'. What you need to do is start styling you hair differently so that when you DO straighten your hair you will actually realise that it IS straight!!!

Straight Hair !!!?

You can get a Japanese Perm, which makes hair straight until its grows out... but its kind of expensive. Or get a better striaghtener.

Straight Hair !!!?

i had same problem the best serum is the Paul Mitchell super skinny serum youll find it at Rite aid ..add some serum before you straighten your hair with your straightening iron then make sure the heat is good should be pretty hot ..then after add some serum once your done youre hair will look shiny and smooth..it will last from home to school to home

good luck

Straight Hair !!!?

What heat setting do you have your straighten on?! I've had this problem, and your straightener may be a tad bit too cool. It should be hot enough that you only have to run it over your hair once.

ALSO, straighten small sections of your hair at a time. If you're using larger sections (to get it done faster for school) they will not stay as well!

Before straightening your hair, you could also try applying a light hair spray to the section you straighten. This will help it hold the style. Ghd apparently has a great line of thermal products that work with heat to protect and keep your hairstyle! I would suggest finding a product that will maintain your look! Straightening balms are good sometimes, but I find they don't work as well with flatironing. I will repost a link to the Ghd website if I find a product that works to maintain "Straightness" with your hair :)

Good luck!

Straight Hair !!!?

umm...

well my sister has REALLY frizzy hair and she just uses herbal essences dangerously straight hairspray and mousse

it works great and of course, a hair straightener would be of good use 2!

Straight Hair !!!?

i have the same problem i use sunsilk straightnen up. so i recimend this to you

Straight Hair !!!?

I honestly don't know, as if you're using all these products it should bloody well be straight for ages!!!! Best thing to do is to ask your hairdresser next time you're there. GHD's are the best. I've got Babyliss ones and they're not too good - they're ok, but my hair doesn't remain straight for that long. When i'm at the hairdressers, they use GHD's on mine and it lasts until the next day, and even after i've washed it.

Straight Hair !!!?

i have the exact problem! Its a mickey take but what i used to do was either put my hood up or put it in loose pig tails keeps it a bit straighter than if it were just loose xx

Straight Hair !!!?

You can go to your hair dresser and get your hair straightend, this will last about 6 months tho.

Straight Hair !!!?

if u have the new ghd stylers with the box and the dvd watch the dvd section (straightening). But if you dnt have the dvd was ur hair pute heat protrctor on it dry it and put da tony and guy serum in it and then comb a section of hair upwards with a comb and clamp the hair at the root turn the straighteiners to the side and pull down then comb. it shud work good luck

Straight Hair !!!?

You can buy hair straightening stuff, almost like perm chemicals otc and it will keep ur haior straight for 1 month until u use it again.

Best Hair Products?

I have very straight hair, does not hold a curl.. very fine, not thin. It gets weighed down easy with too much conditioner but tangles like crazy if I don't use any. It is also prone to getting oily. Very bad hair! I would like some advice on hair products to try; shampoos, conditioners, styling products, hair spray etc. Thanks

Best Hair Products?

means uve got hair like mine! well gurl i use kerestase shampoos,do not use conditioners..itll make ur hair flat and lifeless! kerestace products help hair detangle....try the protien spray by keune it works well doesnt harm roots,

Best Hair Products?

Try using a 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner, that way you are getting conditioned for less weigh-down and you should still be able to comb through your hair. I like to use John Freida "dream curls" because you just spritz it on your hair (dry or damp hair) and it gives it a little bit of a wave without making your hair crispy. I also use the new Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner, they smell awesome! Try to use the John Freida stuff without blowdrying your hair with a brush, just let it air dry.

What Are These Hair Products Used For???

I Just got a haircut and my hair is finger length. well just wanted to know the description %26amp;%26amp; or what the product is used for. Please help. thanks... After, Which do you reccomend. i have my hair combed forward. thanks..

Hair Gel:

Hair Wax:

Hair Spray:

Mousse:

OTHER:

PS-Whats the name for a gel that doesnt harden at all. thats mostly water and used only for wet looks. Just asking?

What Are These Hair Products Used For???

hair gel: basically like hair spray, but in a different formula (don't use too much or it will look like you have dirty hair, it can give you dandruff flakes too)

hair wax: makes your hair flexible when you style it, it also holds the style

hair spray: see hair gel (this doesn't give you flakes, or makes your hair look dirty)

mousse: gives your hair volume, doesn't hold as well as any of the above

i would recommend either, hair spray or wax... depending on how you want to style it

look at l.a. looks (brand) for that gel you're looking for

What Are These Hair Products Used For???

Hair Gel: A stickier substance used to make hair "hard" and stay in place. It's used for styling and also to prevent frizz in curly hair. There is also gel that doesn't dry hard and allows for moveability with the hair. However you have to be careful and buy a good gel product because some cheap crappy ones will clause flakes.

Hair Wax:A thick substance used to to mat hair in any shape and form. Can be used for spikes, mohawks or any other hari styles where hair needs to stay in a difficult shape.

Hair Spray: A spray that is light and "holds" a hair style in place. This is lighter than the other products and can be sprayed over any finished hairstyle to simply keep it in place. Best used after a curling iron to keep curls in place. However, too much can harden the hair or clause flakes.

Mousse: A light fluffy substance that is placed on hair to held style and shape. It is probably the healthiest for your hair out of all of these because it is so light and most do not contain any alcohol. It's mostly used for curly or wavy hair to keep the hair looking moisturized and non-poofy and frizzy. You apply on wet hair.

For a combed forward look, I would recommend Gel. Get a strong hold non-hardening gel. Just browse through the hair section of a wal mart and don't be too cheap, b/c the cheap ones usually suck! Gel will hold ur hair in front and prevent it from moving too much or becoming messy. I think hairspray and mousse would not work too well for that hair style. You can try hair wax if your hair flies away too easily, but it may be too much for such a simple style, especially since the hair may be on yhour face. Wax tends to be haevy and you don't want your hair falling down on your face.

What Are These Hair Products Used For???

Ok,here we go......

Hair gel will give you alot of hold, but will leave you with the "wet look".Good for the "slick back",coke dealer look.

Hair wax is a good option for "finger length" hair.It has some oil to it-so you will still get shine, but no crunch.

Hairspray? just stay away from it-really just used to hold hair in place and is best kept to little old ladies and men trying to hide their baldness with hair stratigically combed into place.(i.e.Donald Trump)

Mousse-is for body and "scrunching"-what chicks did in the 80's to get that big "metal hair",i know,'cause i was there....also recommended that you steer clear of this stuff.

And hair paste is another option for guys short do's--it's like wax, tends to have good hold-but will give you a matte finish...meaning no shine.

Try the Redken for Men line, most salons or beauty supply stores will carry it.They also have a hair cream that gets rid of fuzz, but has very little, if any hold.

Remember, with any product-if you're using professional grade stuff-a little goes along way.

Have your stylist demonstrate how to apply product.

You want to work it in your hands ,then into your hair-always start at the nape:back bottom and work your way to the front.Nothing is worse than seeing a guy who has only applied product to the very front of his hair.

And lastly, the gel that doesn't harden that gives you the wet look is usually called "setting lotion" or a liquid gel.Stay away from that as well, unless you are rollersetting your own hair!

Hope this helps!!

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

so yea.. i have thin... fine.. flat... straight.. hair... and im running out of ideas... everyday.. its down, sometimes i part it a little off to the side, i have my hair slightely layered, and my bangs layered starting at the tops of my cheeks..

and i want something to do with my hair, i have absolutely no money right now, so a new cut is out of the question,

i have a hair straightener, a blowdryer, curling iron, 1 inch and 1/2 inch, and hair spray... and gel...

i need to find a styler using that.. i have hairties obviously.. but.. idk wat i should do.. i have a roundish face to.. so that kinda makes a difference.. and idk

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

Try some the new Herbal Essences Shampoos...They really work great. They have one for body and lift...and it's only a few bucks.

My sister has thin hair and always blow drys her hair upside down. From the underneath. It gives her more body. She has also used curlers on her hair but only underneath. So when she takes them out the curls push her hair up and out. She looks really cute :) hope this helps. Hair is such a pain :)

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

Consider going to your stylist and getting frontal extensions. YOU WILL LOVE THEM! It adds thickness and volume to your hair, not length. It's kind of pricey, but well worth it.

Also, try curling it with your larger curling iron. That will look way cute! Then brush the curls out for loose waves.

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

short choppy pixie cut.

do it yourself.

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

Wear it up - french twist with teased top....Phebee on Friends wore it like this a couple of times.

Also wear it half up (not like on top with barrette) but start at the top of your ears, pull straight back and secure with clip. Pull down wispys in front for softness.

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

Throw some mousse in your hair after the shower and blow dry. Put some curls in it...go crazy with the curls too, lots of them and ticghtly wound...and if your hair is a fine and thin as mine it will look killer in 20 mins because it will mellow out a little.

Blow dry your hair with your head upside down too. It gets tiring so let it air dry a little then throw in some mousse and hang your head down and dry it that way. It will add a little volume so your hair dowsn't lay flat on your head.

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

I love straight hair.

Don't do anything with it.

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

backcomb the crown area at the root then smooth it out.

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

Ok. For flat thin hair, layers work best, it takes out a lot of weight that would normally weigh your hair down. If you cant afford a haircut than i suggest blow drying your hair with your head upside down when its wet. Use product such as a volumizer (mouse, gel, whatever). I tease my hair if its a little flat. (but thats bad for your hair) Also you can invest in velcro rollers, their quick and cheap. Let me know if you need help with those.

Good Luck.

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

Fine Hair has the appearance of softness, which can be very feminine and appealing. However, if you want it to look thicker, you should have it layered slightly. A soft body wave adds fullness and hair coloring can also give more body and make it look thicker.

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

Watch "Law and Order". Look for an episode with Carey Lowell (who just happens to be Richard Gere's wife and a former Bond girl). She has fine straight hair. Wear your hair short in a "boy cut". With that hair you probably have fine features so the hair off your face will look great. Don't FIGHT your hair, find out how it looks best - and the short "little boy cut" would look great - and any competent stylist can do it for like $18.

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

Get some mouse put in in you hair after you wash it blow dry your hair upside down rubbing your hands on your scalp that makes the scalp dry faster and gives more lift. You dont have to blow dry the rest as much you can let that dry on its own. After your hair is dry with mouse and everything done.Curl it not large sections either small sections .when your done spray your hair underneath first with a little hairspray and than the rest.

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

i have the exact same problem and hair cut. i blow my hair with my head upside down and while its wet i put mousse in it. I've tried to curl it but with my hair it doesn't work very well.

My hair flicks up after 30 mins.?

I straighten my hairs with GHD's, for about an hour, I use Hair protection + Strong hold before straightneing, and when i straighten it all, it looks VERY straight, but after 30 mins, the tips of my hair flick up. I hate it. Why doesn't it just stay straight? Help please :( Also i've tried using hair spray, doesn't work, just makes it worst. Advice on what i should do/use please :(

My hair flicks up after 30 mins.?

If your hair length sits on your shoulders thats your problem. either grow a bit longer or cut a little shorter and it should stay straighter.

My hair flicks up after 30 mins.?

use a flat iron after using the GHD's on your ends to keep them down for good.

My hair flicks up after 30 mins.?

mine tooo i have no idea how to help it it just does it!! :-D

My hair flicks up after 30 mins.?

i shower than i let my hair dry naturally

than i straighten my hair in layers

Major hair problem!! please help!!!?

my hair keeps getting puffed up

if i take a shower and tie my hair in a bun, and take it out and brush my hair the next day, it becomes all puffed up. any advise on what to do about it. like a hair spray or a specific shampoo or conditioner

thx!

Major hair problem!! please help!!!?

Use a hair straightening iron on it. Everyone's hair gets puffy/frizzy/poofy. Also get a smoothing balm and use a pea size amount throughout your hair after you straighten it. The straightening will smooth out the hair, its not just for straightening curly hair...mine is straight and I use it on mine. Also, once a week use a deep hair conditioner, they come in tubs, you buy them at the drug store or walmart...try neutrogena or pantene pro-v. Not the regular conditioner, but the deep conditioning weekly treatment.

Major hair problem!! please help!!!?

DONT TIE YOUR HAIR IN A BUN. DUH

Staticky hair?

for some reason when Im at home or going some where that isn't school my hair is perfectly normal but when I'm in school after about an hour or so my hair is staticky.

everyday I use a round brush, blow dryer, and hair spray to make it have more volume.

how can i get it to be not so staticky anymore?

i don't want to change hairstyles because I hate wearing my hair up or slicked down in the winter

Staticky hair?

Spray your hairbrush with hairspray or Static Guard before your comb your hair. It helps take the static out of your hair.

Staticky hair?

run a dryer sheet through your hair

Staticky hair?

try an use a hair shiner and spray your hair every morning with that, i wash my hair everymrning beofre i go to the office and i get static as well, however i use hair shiner as soon as i have strightened my hair and it works brilliantly - try ......and let me know.

Staticky hair?

use serum it helps

Staticky hair?

well try using a normal flat brush and maybe try some different shampoo

Staticky hair?

my hair gets really staticky as well, and i hate wearing my hair up! so what i use is a tiny dab of conditioner, like seriously tiny or else it will look oily, that does the trick for me, good luck

Staticky hair?

you can run a dry sheeter, and also change your pillow case to satin ones it really reduces static.

Staticky hair?

Its probably to do with all the flourescent lights they have at school, causing electric static. Try smoothing a dryer asheet through it before you leave in the morning, and take one with you to use throughout the day. Get unperfumed ones though or yoy'll smell like a launderette!

Staticky hair?

I have the same problem!!! it drives me CRAZY!! so i totally know what your talking about.

I use Paul Mitchell "seal and shine" spray.

It helps for when using a blowdryer or straightener ...but it also helps with staticky hair.

Hope I helped....GOOD LUCKK

:]

Staticky hair?

try this

http://www.hairfinder.com/articles2005/s...

sorry! the best that i can do!

Staticky hair?

I am a hairdresser. Make sure you use some mousse or gel in the winter, a little more substance in your hair will stop the fly away stuff.

Staticky hair?

rub dryer sheet on it

Staticky hair?

well u shud definetly cut down on the blow dryer and that spray and BRUSH!!!!!!! Blow dryer and spray togeter will make your hair frizzy and then wen u brush it it will become staticky!! so here is wat u shud do: shampoo ur hair then put a leave in condioner now wrap your hair..........and sit under a dryer(you may have to buy 1 from the beauty supply) sit for about 45 minutes.........now un wrap your hair it shud feel soft.......now use a comb(the large claear ones) and comb your hair.........now use oil..........not 2 much.............now u use a brush(the straighen ones from CVS) and brush your hair...........and then style............go 2 seventeen.com for the best styles

Staticky hair?

rub a tumble dryer sheet over your hair and it will take out the static.

Staticky hair?

Here's what to do : DONT blow dry it or it will get worse. Instead, weekly condition it. Be sure to leave the conditioner in your hair from roots to ends for 10 minutes. Wash off completly and gently towel dry. Results will be found after doing that 3 times.

Staticky hair?

put a dallop of shine serum. the silicone in it will hold your hairs down! or try spritzing hairspray on your hands and running it on the top of your hair. this works but needs to be redone throughout the dayyy.

How can I fix my hair so that it's not oily and has long lasting smell?

I know it seems virtually impossible to have perfect hair, but I seem to have to worst hair days!!! My hair, like my skin, gets really oily and the minute I step out of the shower my hair smells gritty and dirty. Also, I straighten my hair a lot. Is there a shampoo that can fix the oil and smell, or just the oil with a hair spray specifically to make hair smell good (not like hairspray)?????

How can I fix my hair so that it's not oily and has long lasting smell?

You could try a shampoo with tea tree oil in it to help with the smell but you may be one of those millions of people with oily hair. Paul Mitchell has a great Tea tree shampoo and a few styling products. If you overdo the styling-straightening products you may experience oily hair also. Good luck!

How can I fix my hair so that it's not oily and has long lasting smell?

Flex for oily hair is great

How can I fix my hair so that it's not oily and has long lasting smell?

try the biosilk shampoo and conditiner..they are like 1500 a bottle but they work wonders on your hair

How can I fix my hair so that it's not oily and has long lasting smell?

i've been using SAMY shampoo and conditioner (red bottle) for about two weeks now, and I am constantly getting compliments on how good it smells. My husband goes crazy for it, my dentist made a comment, even a guy in line behind me at a store said something. Don't know if they have a version for oily hair, but check it out.

How can I fix my hair so that it's not oily and has long lasting smell?

buy this BIOSILK stuff, my hair was like that but now it is way better

How can I fix my hair so that it's not oily and has long lasting smell?

Personally, I find that Garnier Fruitice (spelling on that last part?) shampoo and conditioner does miracle wonders for hair!

How can I fix my hair so that it's not oily and has long lasting smell?

honestly fructice is very strong for the hair.. ( i asked a hairdresser on this one)i had the very same prob. so they recommended me to use proffessionnal stuff like the one i use now ( ISO)

How can I fix my hair so that it's not oily and has long lasting smell?

well 1st of all i think its b/c u steraighten ur hair a lot. i use to be exactly da same as u. n now my hair smells sooo GOOD!!!get TreSemme for dried har, shampoo, n conditioner. Condition n shampoo every other day. However do deep condition once a week. n what i do is i put in conditioner, n then rub it in for like 2-3 mins, like it says on the bottle. n then dont rinse out ur hair. instead get a towel, n go watch a movie. after dat, go rinse it out n I PROMISE ur hair will feel soft n pretty right there n then. The most u can leave it in is overnight. try it n w/b to tell me if it works k. o n if ur gonna straighten ur hair a lot, het that anti-heat spray from TreSemme to....its pretty cheap, n not expensive.

How can I fix my hair so that it's not oily and has long lasting smell?

your hair is just really oily, and theres nothing wrong with that. wash you hair for 2 minutes in the shower twice a day everyday. if the oil and smell keep up, and you think its unnatural, go toa salon and tell them what the deal is with you hair.good luck.

How can I fix my hair so that it's not oily and has long lasting smell?

You would have to change your routine for that. You weren't asking for routine suggestions so I'll just leave you with a website in case you're interested. http://longhaircommunity.com

I Need Major Hair Help!?

So I used to have long beautiful hair untill one day, years ago, i decided to get it cut pretty short. Ever since that day my hair has never been the same. It's very frizzy and just plain ugly, I always have to wear my hair up with gel and hair spray. I just want to be able to get out of the shower and not have to do anything with my hair. Does anyone have any advice?!

I Need Major Hair Help!?

Ummmm, if you want your hair to look good I would say you can't really just get out of the shower and do anything, thats proabably why it is so frizzy. When I get out of the shower I blowdry my hair and then put this frizz bye bye stuff in and leave in conditioner before I blow dry and I think my hair comes out fine.

I Need Major Hair Help!?

Try Garnier Sleek and Shine and put Ainti Frizz Serum in ur hair when u get out. That should take the frizzz a bit down. Try a paddle brush too.

I Need Major Hair Help!?

Just let it grow. Leave it alone. Tie it in a ponytail or use a different brand of shampoo.

I Need Major Hair Help!?

anti-frizz conditioner, i like aussy or dove.... But look at conditioner next time you go to the store

I Need Major Hair Help!?

Use anti frizz shampoo, conditioner and serum.

I Need Major Hair Help!?

try pantene.

I Need Major Hair Help!?

Go to a beauty salon or try Charls Wothington products the same happened to me and the stuff really works!! Good Luck

I Need Major Hair Help!?

This could be to do with the hair products you use, do u change your shampoo. Do you use conditioner? if you don't use conditioner I'd recommend Pantene's smooth and sleek one as it gets rid of frizz and makes hair fell unbelievable.

Depending on whether you want straight or curly hair realy depends on what advice to give from here. best of luck

I Need Major Hair Help!?

oh dont worry hunnie, you are not alone. I have very frizzy hair also. Some things that i use are:

(a) if you have frizz, you can use Garnier Fructis Smoothing Milk. it is instant smoothing and frizz control

(b) you can also use Frizz-Ease anti-frizz serum

those are the things that mostly work for my hair. you can pick any of these things us at any drugstore.

P.S.

You can sometimes turn frizz into curls. i would recomend curl perfection spray. you can also get this at any drug store

I Need Major Hair Help!?

do a deep conditioning treatment, like Ion intense moisture/reconstructing treatment every other time you shampoo for a week - then once a week from then on.

I color my hair about once a week - i just think its so fun! and my hair got so bad I was forced into bangs because it was braking off. I started using this conditioner and my hair id baby soft now and everyone is jealous. Its my dirty little secret!

You can order it (I think) at Sallybeauty.com or go to Sallys. They will know what your talking about.

Any time your dealing with a reconstructor though your dealing with protein and too much of it can damage your hair, so follow the directions or else you'll make it worse!

My hair has this wierd vibe going on ...?

i have really soft hair and i never get split ends. But my hair is really poofy. I cant leave it down unless i use a whole bottle of hair spray and gel on it to make it curly.

Dont tell me to use anti frizz stuff on it, because my hair isnt frizzy...

My hair has this wierd vibe going on ...?

You may need to have it thinned out or texturized. This will take some of the bulk out. Also you can always get a relaxer which will help or a straight iron if you dont want to use chemicals

My hair has this wierd vibe going on ...?

Stay away from humidity.

My hair has this wierd vibe going on ...?

I know you don't think your hair is frizzy but just try the John Frieda Frizz Ease range, just the shampoo ans conditioner for defining and smoothing curls will help loads! Trust me I had the same problem!!

My hair has this wierd vibe going on ...?

wash it leave it alone let it dry naturally dont put it up or in a pony brush it straight perhaps

My hair has this wierd vibe going on ...?

Have you tried to use moose on wet hair? The moose will usually say on the bottle if your hair should be wet wet of just slightly wet...I hope it works out for you.

My hair has this wierd vibe going on ...?

If all else fails just shave your head bald is sexy

Ugh hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

my hair is EXACTLY like my pic the bangs... and at school i wear my hair up in a ponytail with my bangs down but i cant lately not even once since school started because its so HOT!! it frizzes and unstraitens so i have to clip it up.

i put de frizz hair syrum flat iron it and use hair spray NOTHING WORKS!!! i havent been able to show off my new bangs yet and i really want to!! any help??

Ugh hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

After you striaghten it try har gel..sounds weird but it should hold it in and help itnot to firzz. Not to much though so it dosen't look greasey then make sure to put just a drop of gel in your new bangs!

Good Luck!

Ugh hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

It sounds like humidity is your problem. I used to have this problem, and I got Aussie Anti-Humidity hairspray (in a purple bottle) at Target for about three dollars, and now my hair stays perfect. But it kinda tangles your hair, so comb through as your spray, then spritz one last time. It smells good, too, which is a total plus. Hope this helps. My hair is the same, now it's sleek and shiny even when it's 39605868267 degrees out and it just rained.

Ugh hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

Straighten your hair as usual, and the trick is....once you've straightened your hair, DO NOT WASH it for a few days. You'll have one bad hair day (the day you straighten it) but clip it up when you shower and do not wash it. The next day, go over your hair with the straightening iron and use Citre-Shine glossing spray (feels a little oily) and that will do the trick. I have naturally curly hair and when I straighten it, I don't wash my hair for a good 4-5 days!!! Good luck! I know your pain!

Ugh hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

That's so weird...I have the EXACT SAME problem. Try cutting them a little tiny bit shorter because I found that they get messed up once you grow them out. But when they turn curly, not frizzy, it looks really pretty and frames your face well however much you may hate it.

Ugh hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

Try using hair putty and work it into your bangs.

Good hair product?

I am getting very frusterated. I have short hair, similar to my avie. One side of my hair likes to naturally curl under, while the other side flips out. So I use a flat iron to style. I have used every product on this earth , and nothing seems to work. If I use a super hold hair spray my head feels like a helmet. Wax makes my hair feel greasy. Any suggestions? I realize I don't leave too many options...

Good hair product?

Try getting a starch spray meant for hair. Redkin at most salons carries a good one. You just spray it on your hair, use your heated device and whola it holds position. A little sprits of hair spray and you on your way!

Good hair product?

Setting your hair in rollers in the same direction and sleeping with them overnight would do the trick.

Who said being beautiful wasn't uncomfortable?

The only shampoo you need to use is one that moisturizes well along with a good conditioner. Nexxus has a good product line. Don't settle for anything else.

Good hair product?

Maybe you aren't putting the product in right, go out and buy Garnier Nutrice , Sleek and shine Creme`. DON"T GET THE SERUM OR THE GEL! They will make your hair greasy, Now! When putting it in your hair, flip your head upside down ,and work it from the very nape of your neck 9where the hair starts) to the ends of the hair, remember less is always more, so use a little at first and if you need more, take some.

I hope it works!

P.S. When blow drying always keep tension on the hair, and when flat ironing, make sure you hold the iron at an angle, so the hair is kind of kittycornered at the top of the flat iron.

Good hair product?

Have you tried blow drying with a curl brush? I have the same issue and that's what I've done.

These days I don't fight my hair as much. I dye my hair every month so I let it curl a little here and there. I use Kusco Murphy products after drying my hair for conditioning and styling. It helps to control the curl somewhat.

Good hair product?

I have the same problem.....What i use is i blowdry my hair then straighten it with a chi. It works great....but ussually after a couple hours my hair does that flip thing again.....i would recamend a gel that is used for people w curly hair and it is designed to keep ur hair straight. ASK UR HAIRDRESSER next time u go get ur hair done!!!!! HOPE I HELPED!!!!!!!!

Good hair product?

herbal esscenses pin straight!!

Good hair product?

A curling shampoo and conditioner with lavender by Jason along with Jason's hair cream works awesome on my hair. I have naturally curly hair. Your hair will look very natural and conditioned.

Good hair product?

I don't know if this works but I read about it on Cosmogirl Daily Kiss. Here is the link: http://www.cosmogirl.com/beauty/dailykis...

The Arcticle is No More Hairspray! and I think that may be what you are looking for.

Staticky hair!?

My hair is always sticking up, like just little baby hairs, which is a problem bcz it's really noticable with my straight hair. Hair spray doesn't work an dwhen i put anything into it it makes it greasy! What should i do? Help me!

Staticky hair!?

put hair spray on ur brush and then comb ur hair works for me

Staticky hair!?

you can probably find stuff at Wal Mart- Longs ect.

Maybe like a detangler?

that works on that kind of stuff.

Staticky hair!?

u should put lotion in and then put it in a pony tail or just get bobby pins and clip then down.

Staticky hair!?

Take a dryer sheet and run it over your hair. That works really well!

Staticky hair!?

easy. use a static eliminating dryer sheet! rub it gently over your hair, and it immediately takes away the static. stick one in your pocket for the day and smooth it out if it gets staticky again. good trick right?

Staticky hair!?

if you drag your feet when you're walking, that could be a problem, and also if you wear like cable knit or just knit sweaters and clothes like that.

Staticky hair!?

this i going to sound wierd, but i swear it works! take fabric softener and rub your hair with it all of the flyaway hairs will disappear!

Staticky hair!?

this is a serious answer. i say that because it is going to sound goofy to you.

take a dryer sheet, the ones that you throw on the dryer to soften clothes and control static cling, and after you do your hair (curl it or whatever), rub the dryer sheet over your head. keep a couple in your purse so that you can do it throughout the day if you need to.

works for me.

Staticky hair!?

you can use a dryer sheet.

Staticky hair!?

Don't wear polyester, use dryer sheets, and have you tried any of these products they work for me:

John Freida frizz ease

Dove frizz control

Sun Silk Shampoo, conditioner, %26amp; 24/7 creme to control frizz and fly aways

Staticky hair!?

I have always had a lot of static in my hair..dryer sheets work great..just smooth them over your hair and also on your brush.

Staticky hair!?

Easy. Buy some hair wax (also known as pomade). I like salon selectives because I think it smells good but any brand will work. Then dip just the tip of one finger into the goo (just a little little bit!!! its very strong) and rub that dot of wax between your palms. Then lightly rub your palms over your hair from the part in your hair down. This will tame the little baby hairs that stick up and add a little shine. If you need more repeat the process. Don't use to much! You can always use more, but once its in you can't undo it if you put too much in until the next time you wash your hair.

Staticky hair!?

My hair has a lot of static too. I use a leave in conditioner on my hair and that gets rid of the static. I buy just regular conditioner that you are suppose to wash out and just put a little on the ends and the areas where the static is. My hairdresser told me that you don't have to wash the conditioner out. Dryer sheets will work as well but I got tired of using them because my hair always has static in it.

Make hair look thicker and more volumized.. help please!?

I do everything I can to make it seem more volumized. I blow dry it upside down with a rounded brush. I have used many hair sprays but they dont seem to volumize it for more than an hour. is there a certain type of hair spray or a certain type of cream that woudl work good???

Make hair look thicker and more volumized.. help please!?

Well you would always get a hair extension that would suit your needs.

Or get your hair layered and puff it up.

Or just accept the way your hair is : )

I'd use bedhead if you want to go the product route, but man is it pricey stuff.

well best wishes!

Make hair look thicker and more volumized.. help please!?

first of all it helps if you have naturally thick hair, which by the way most people don't they want nice thin hair thats straight..anyway to make your hair thick and more volumized try a volumized SHAMPOO like pantine , or which ever brand u like it doesnt mater ...

Why do companies PROMOTE unhealthy hair? By putting alcohol in their products?

IT doesnt' matter who they are MOST companies PUT alcohol in all of their beauty products and in turn they are promoting unhealthy hair. ALCOHOL damages the hair by drying it out. Sometimes they wont even list it as ALCOHOL but it's there. I realize companies use alcohol as a drying agent for hair spray but even the alcohol free stuff still has it listed there....I've attached a LINK to some of the ALCOHOL found in Hair Products. I mean companies need to be MORE aware. It's a vicious cycle yes but I mean WHY COVER up your hair with silicones and stuff because the other products like the Alcohol DRY your hair. WHY not just creat ALCOHOL free products and HELP PROMOTE HEALTHY HAIR instead of covering it UP with alcohol based crap.......

Why do companies PROMOTE unhealthy hair? By putting alcohol in their products?

Not all alcohol is bad; cetyl alcohol comes from fatty acids, which make hair shine and reduce frizz and do not dry hair. The types to watch out for, which generally aren't in shampoo or conditioner are methanol or isopropol. Alcohols found in hairsprays evaporate so quickly that they don't dry your hair out either. If hair care products are used properly, and heat appliances used with care and caution, people should be able to maintain healthy hair. If your salon professional doesn't educate you on your products and how to use them properly, he/she is the bigger problem than some fatty acids in your shampoo, which do, in fact, HELP your hair.

Why do companies PROMOTE unhealthy hair? By putting alcohol in their products?

good nanswer reallly from peroxide and ammonia with out it hair clor will not be permaneant get the stuff the washes out in abiout a week or 2! Report It

Why do companies PROMOTE unhealthy hair? By putting alcohol in their products?

Debating between 5 wave hair products? help me decide by tomorrow!?

Anything by fekkai works well.

Debating between 5 wave hair products? help me decide by tomorrow!?

Aussie catch the wave mousse + leave-in conditioner, strong hold is the best. I have tried it, and I have just gotten a perm for my sister's wedding. DO NOT USE ITON DRY PERMED HAIR THOUGH.

Hair Problems...!?

Whenever I finish washing my hair it is wavy and curly and I want it to stay that way throughout the school day which is like 7 hours. I not sure if I should use gel, mousse or hair spray to keep it like that. Also, if I use one of these products, should I just apply it on all my hair all together or go through each curly strand of hair and apply? Please help! School is starting soon!

Hair Problems...!?

use mousse or gel and scrunch hair then spray with hairspray to set. go to sally's there products are as good as a salon without paying to high price for them

Hair Problems...!?

Hair Gel Help ?

Okay! I have curly, frizzy, unmanagable hair. I know a hair gel that's called: Simply No Frizz By Andrew Collinge ( Salon Solutions ). Do any of you know anything about this prodect ?? And if now which prodect would you suggest for my hair ? ( By the way, it's always fizzes up when it drys from water, and do you think i should use hair spray too? it to what kind?)

Thanks for your helps in advance ! %26lt;3 %26lt;3 !

Hair Gel Help ?

i don't know much about that product but i do know that DEP 10 works wonders for my hair, i wouldn't use hairspray also because it has a good chance of drying out your hair more because most hairsprays contain alcohol.

Hair Gel Help ?

i recommend you use a product called "skeet skeet"

Hair Gel Help ?

I have very curly hair also. I use Garnier Fructis for Curls. It is a spray gel and keeps the frizz away, but leaves my hair soft without the crunchies.

Hair Gel Help ?

I have halfway frizzy hair. This is what works for me. Garnier Fructis Curl-Up Gel and Curl-Up spray. I towel dry my hair straight out of the shower and apply the gel. I scrunch it and twirl it to make it curly. (scrunching while blow drying) Then, I add the spray to smooth my frizzes down. It really works for me! Hope this helps!

Hair Gel Help ?

If your hair is naturally curly, the gel will do great.Just use a little and see if that is all it takes. When you get your hair cut, do they style it for curly hair? They should so you wouldn't get the frizz. Also if you use hair spray, some contains alcohol and that dries the hair out.Read and get the spray with very little if any alcohol in it...Good luck....

Hair Gel Help ?

I have natural curly hair. Ive used the No Frizz and I didnt like it too much.I use Aussie products with moisturizing. And when I towel dry my hair I use Humectress by Nexxus. it work really good . just use a good conditioner for your hair

Hair Gel Help ?

Sun Silk hair products cant beat them!! Iv got a mad frizzy mane, tryed soooo many diffrent things.. sun silk wins for me hands down!!

Hair cut??

I'm thinking of getting a haircut.

Here is my current hair

http://i22.tinypic.com/k48j91.jpg

http://i23.tinypic.com/2442mv9.jpg

(my hair really needs to be straightened %26amp; re-dyed in that one ...i look a total mess in both of them =])

Anways,

http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u248/...

thats what i want...

i don't know if it would look fine or totally messed up if i got it...

%26amp; if i did what type of hair spray?

I have garnier but it doesn't hold my hair well when i try and tease it %26gt;.%26gt;

Hair cut??

i don't think your hair could do that

but there's no shame in trying

if it doesn't work you can just try again

Hair cut??

eh. i wouldnt reccomend that particular style for you

but, there's chance it might look fine...o.o

but, if you really, really want to get it like that, or similar,

get your hair cut in choppy layers. short, choppy layers.

starting very short at the top and getting longer as you go down

after that all you really need to do is straighten it.

i would reccomend Aussie Instant Freeze Hairspray

I use it, and it works really well, my hair never falls.

also, try BedHead.

Problem with hair?

Im a guy. My hair is about medium-short length. After i take a shower my hair is real dry and puffy and looks really bad so i usually use hair spray to get it down...but recently since im playing lacrosse, my hair gets sweaty and after it gets real sweaty its so much easier to form and looks great but after i take a shower its back to looking bad..so i decided to start taking showers less frequently and going the night without one so its still kinda sweaty-like in the morning..how bad of a idea is this? so my hair isnt totally greasy/dirty i wash it a bit with water in the morning

Problem with hair?

do you use conditioner? if you alsredy do, use more. or oils

Problem with hair?

You don't have to go without showering to get that look for your hair. Try a mousse or what's called a pomade, just rub it through your hair and you should be able to use your fingers to put it in place the way you want it. Good luck.

Problem with hair?

It doesn't sound like a good idea. Use a leave-in moisturiser after washing and once dry add an anti-frizz serum (not too much though otherwise your hair will look oily) Straightening your hair will make it look less frizzy too but do this after the leave-in moisturiser but before the anti-frizz serum. The best results would be blowdrying straight and then going over it with a hair straightener. the best hair straightener would be a ghd but i hear that there is a nhd as well now. This would be about $270 Australian dollars but you wouldn't have to blow dry first so it would save you time.

Problem with hair?

This isnt a bad idea but its always better to have a clean head. This my suggestion. After shampooing leave slightly damp and a little bit of hair gel ( american crew has one for men that smells sooooooooooooo good) and then syle it as usual. I think youll like the outcome.

Recommendations for my hair type?

Can anyone recommend any shampoos, conditioners, and other hair products (such as hair spray,) for my hair type? It's oily, flaky, and color treated.

I've tried using Head and Shoulders but it doesnt work for me, it makes my hair worse.

Right now I'm using all Garnier Fructis products, for color-treated hair, and I wash every my hair every day.

Any tips?

Recommendations for my hair type?

Although it's expensive, Matrix is a very good brand of Shampoo and Conditioner.

You can get it at salons or online at http://www.matrix.com/

Recommendations for my hair type?

Well if your a teenager it will be oily for some time. It will eventually get better. As for the flakynes. Your not suppose to use head and shoulders every day. It will cause it to become flaky. Your only to use it twice a week. It will even cause you to itch your scalp alot. I really liked John Frieda brilliant ? what ever color you have. I also like the fructis products also.

Recommendations for my hair type?

use suave

very cheap

less than 2 bucks a bottle

closer to 1.50

and its amazing

i bought a bottle to use as a trial and now its my regular shampoo and conditor for 8 years

it made my hair grow like crazy

like 2 inches a week

and its so soft and silky

i love it

Is gel and hair-spay the ONLY thing I can't have in my hair before coloring it?

I am coloring my hair (Champene Blonde (if it makes a difference)) and I know that having gel and hair-spray is a "no no" when coloring hair. I have a little bit of frizz so I use those oils for hair before straighting it and I was wondering if that (oil; serum) is exceptable before coloring it or if I should just avoid it all together. Oh yes, and how long should I wait from washing my hair to coloring it (eg. 12, 24 hours)?

Is gel and hair-spay the ONLY thing I can't have in my hair before coloring it?

Oils, serums, and leave in conditioner would actually make dye harder to penetrate your hair because it makes it porous. If you can do without, leave it out. However, if you do insist on using it; make sure you massage the dye into your hair very thoroughly.

Ideally, you shouldn't wash your hair for 24 hours as this makes the colour fade. I tend to not wash it for a good 2 days as I find hair dyes really dry your hair, and not make it greasy until about the 3rd day.

Is gel and hair-spay the ONLY thing I can't have in my hair before coloring it?

I think it depends on the brand of dye that you are using. Check out the directions inside the box, and it will tell you specifically what it requires.

Is gel and hair-spay the ONLY thing I can't have in my hair before coloring it?

Who says you can't? It won't affect the hair coloring just maybe make it harder to mix in if the hair spray or gel was put on too much. Don't wash your hair prior to coloring though, it'll make it more prone to damages.

Is gel and hair-spay the ONLY thing I can't have in my hair before coloring it?

I don't think it will affect it. Check the box to make sure. If it doesn't say anything about it, then you should be alright. You may also want to check the bottle of the product in question. Also, don't use a store-bought blonde to color your hair unless your hair is already a light to medium brown or another shade of blonde. Darker browns will not color blonde using store bought hair color. Any other colors, you will have to use bleach and I suggest going to a professional hair stylist.

As far as washing your hair, the dirtier the better. The color takes better to dirty hair, so anywhere from 24-48 hours of not washing your hair is ideal. Good luck! Hope it comes out great!

Is gel and hair-spay the ONLY thing I can't have in my hair before coloring it?

other coloring dyes

Is gel and hair-spay the ONLY thing I can't have in my hair before coloring it?

Well, I think it's best not to have any chemicals or anything on your hair before you color it. You don't know what can mess up your color, so it's best to keep your hair clean before you color it!

Is gel and hair-spay the ONLY thing I can't have in my hair before coloring it?

your hair should always be clean and dry before coloring it, never dirty the dirt and products prevent the color from working up to its full streangth. if you are coloring your own hair becareful runing it through the ends they can break off. 24-48 hours to shampoo(hair dresser of ten years)

Is gel and hair-spay the ONLY thing I can't have in my hair before coloring it?

Whether it be hairspray, gel, or frizz serum, if by coloring your hair you really mean to say "bleaching it", or "lifting color", or "going lighter in hair color", you can have any or all of these hair products in your hair when bleaching it. The chemicals used to bleach won't blink an eye in getting through hair gel to get to your hair. Don't have to wait after washing it either to bleach it, and you don't have to wash your hair before you bleach either.

Here's some good info about coloring your hair:
