Right time to dye hair?

I am going to dye my hair tomorrow and I'm not sure if I should wash it tonight or not .. ? I know on the box, it always says not to wash it the day of but if I wash it tonight that should be fine, right ?

Or I could just not wash it tonight...? I washed it yesterday and I have some product in it, just a little creme and some hair spray (not too much though).. Would this be bad to put dye over?

Please only reply if you know what you are talking about .. I just want the color to come out the best that it can.

Thats fine! Usually the hair dye boxes say not to wash hair because this happens(and i have had experience in the past with this!) If your hair is freshly washed,and then you dye your hair,it burns your scalp! it becomes red..and then you get this terrible dandruff..especially if you use hair bleach...so for safety reasons,i always wash my hair,then wait a day,then i dye my hair :) So yeah,nows the perfect time to dye your hair!

Depending on if your hair has a lot of residue on it, you may want to wash it the night before. If not, and it is dry or damaged, I would recommend waiting to put the dye in the first place. After this, make sure to condition your hair really well.

wash your hair tonight, or wash it tomorrow, doesnt matter. i've done it both ways. definitely wash the product out though, the chemicals could mis and make a nasty concoction on your head. ick. oh, and make sure your hair is dry when you put the dye in! good luck!
