I am a natural brunette, dyed medium blonde. I love 'Jes'' hair on Rock of love, I think it is so cute. My hair is layered and below my shoulders.

Do you think I should dye my hair light brown before adding the pink? Is there a product (besides halloween hair-spray) that will add temporary color at permanent quality? That way I can see how it looks.

Should I get it done at a salon? Or do it myself? And should I just do the ends, or a little bit on my bangs?

Don't do this yourself . I am a hairdresser and you could really mess your hair up.

You need to use special products for this. Some of the pink colors you find will wash out in about a day or two.

Just to answer your other question, yes you would want to bleach your hair somewhat first. If it's too dark it will not come out pink.

Manic Panic , works well but I really think you should cal around to salons and try to find someone who specializes in different colors. Your everyday hairdresser that usually does regular color mostly will not be able to do this properly.

Find someone who does weird/punk colors regularly.

I love Jes' hair too, also make sure you ask how long it will last and what is involved in removing it just in case you don't like it anymore after a week or so.

Make sure it's somewhat un-doable.

just bc u "love" jes it doesnt mean that, that hair style will be right for you, i suggest finding out if it will look good on you.

Hey, Sweetie! I adore Jes's hair. I think it brings alot of hard care, though. I think you should look on images on google and find a picture that you like Jes's hair the most and give it to the person in the hair salon and ask her if she thinks she can do it on you and if it's suitable.
