How should i care for my thin dry hair?

My hair it long, thin and dry. I have had 4 kids and I am only 27yrs. old. I dont dye my hair and I rarely blow dry it. Once in a blue moon i will use hair spray. I usually put it up in a pony tail holder only because it looks flat and lifeless. I dont have much time or money but would buy what i need if I knew what it was. My hair has never been thick, shiney and never had any body. I am willing to do layers and buy certain products but I dont want to ruin my hair more in the process of finding out what is the best for it. Anything advice would be helpful. Thank you!

when you next go the hair salon ask for a conditioning treatment it will be at extra cost only of a couple of pounds but the treatment will re juvinate your hair giving it shine and texture back.

hope this helped

hmmm, how about using hair mask to step up on hair hydration?

Okay I have a few things that should help but remember all this stuff you are asking takes time.

1. put olive oil in your hair and cover with a shower cap. sleep with that in but make sure you have a shower cap or it will all get in your bed. put shampoo on before even getting your hair wet or it will be very hard to get out. then just wash as normal.

2. [my favorite] mix two egg yolks with two tbsp of olive oil and a cup of water. put it all through your hair and leave it in for fiftenn minutes. it will be messy so its best to do it in the tub. after the fifteen minutes rinse out in luke warm water. watch out-if the waters too hot it will cook the egg! this will be hard to get out so your going to have to shampoo at least twice!

3. when washing your hair leave your conditioner in a little bit longer than usual. maybe 5-10 minutes. its as simple as that!

4. go into a slon and get a hot oil treatment done every once and awhile. they usually are not very expensive. just call different salons and ask their prices. it does wonders for the hair.

don't forget to get the split ends trimmed! I would do it every 8 weeks or else your just cutting off your growth.

none of these thing will ruin your hair, they make it much healthier and shiny. it bring life back to it and it has thickened my hair.

good luck!

How should i care for my thin dry hair?

my friend had the same problem not too long ago and i went with her to a salon where she got advise on how to fix the problem.

First of she got layers and got side swept bangs cut.

They also recommended she start using a volumizing shampoo and conditioner but only use the shampoo every other day. too much shampoodries out your hair.

Next they said she should buy a lifting treatment like a leave-in conditioner with a label saying something about root lifter, you should use this about once a week.

At the salon they also said puttin your hair in a pony tail too much damages and breaks your hair so i recommend you leave your hair down. a great hairstyle that they did on my friend is:

they left her bangs out and blow dried them to give body. then using a hair clip they clipped up half of her hair and left the rest down. with the layers it looked really beautiful and i think you should try it as it doesnt damage your hair anyway.

keep in mind when buyin the products you dont have to pick th emost expensive because its not always going to be the best. you could research some good highly recommend products on the internet, try going on the pantene website. there you can take a quiz describing your hair and special products like extra fullness mousse[a great product by the way] will come up .you will find eveything you need at your local drustore.

good luck!!!

i hope this help some
