How do i keep my hair in place when its crimped?!?

i love crimping my hair and when i do its usually fades within an hour..and sometimes its like i can see it fading awayy with minutes!!..ive tried putting hair spray..but it doesntt work! and i have really manageable hair except when it comes to crimping..so what would help?!?! =) thanks

I would suggest getting a thermal hairspray. You put it on before you put the crimper on your hair, and the heat from the crimper activates the hairspray. I would recommend Reken Hot Sets 22. It works wonders for me. Plus, my sister uses it on all of her clients that state they cannot keep curl in thier hair, and then she proves them wrong. She is a cosmotologist.

Maybe it's not your hair..maybe its your crimper?

If you have had it for awhile maybe it just doesn't get hot enough to hold your hair.

So you could get a new one with a higher temp..

or just try %26amp; crimp it longer

i dont crimp my hair but sumtimes "wave" it with a tool like a crimper but larger and more well, wavey and mine stays and this is what i do-

i first put in hair serum.. i actually use a little "extra" and it looks pretty greasy when i put it in

i use the waver (its ceramic which ceramic also helps hold hair style better )

and after i get it done it doesnt look greasy anymore.. but it seems to really help keep the shape (the hair serum)

after it is all done i spray it with a hair spray... it may be the kind of hair spray you are using, I have used many diff kinds and some - evern the more expensive ones are not always the best. You just have to find what works best for your hair. I like aussie scrunch spray and i recently bought herbal essence- its in a teal can and i absolutely hate it! I also have one by tresseme thats like a heat style spray and it works pretty good too.

Overall i think what you put in your hair to begin with helps hold the style best. And top it off with hairspray so it doesnt get frizzy... just dont use too much to make it hard or weigh it down too much cuz that will make the style "fall out" too
