So I used a permanent Blue-Black dye almost a month and a half, maybe two months ago. I straighten my hair daily and put bedhead manipulator and hair spray in my hair... I also shampoo and condition daily. The dye in my hair is fading a bit, like... it's still black, but with a reddish or dark brown tint, it's buggin me so I'mma get it touched up, but what can I do different to keep the dye in longer? and I am using the once a week color treat conditioner and color treated hair friendly shampoo and conditioner. Could it be the straightening? Like if it's turned up too much or if I'm clamping down too hard or going too slow?
Why is my hair dye fadingg? what brand of color are you using?? yes using a flat iron on your hair-especially on very high heat will remove color out of your hair. another question for you-what color is your hair naturally?? if its lighter than black, even the best color might fade out, especially if you have fine hair. are you on any medications?-that would be another factor. I would get a better color care shampoo and conditioner. also....in both manipulator (love it though) and hairspray...there is alcohol...which could also add to the fact of your hair fading. BedHead Manipulator is awesome-why do you need the hairspray with it?? Oh and im not saying that straightening your hair will really make the color come out completely-it will over a period of time with alot of heat.(i have curly hair and i obviously color it) ;) to keep my color in- i use Wella Color Preserve Shampoo and Conditioner-thats the only thing i found that ever kept my color in longer. i once ran out and used something else, just once and that day everyone kept asking if my hair was a different color. that proved a point to me. i have fine hair but tons of it and it seems to me that fine hair always takes color differently than hair that is more coarse. Coarse hair seems to just soak the color up. Also being that you have really dark hair to begin with-you have alot of red undertone. i would suggest getting something with an ash in it- not blue....it will cancel out the red that you dont want.
Why is my hair dye fadingg? was it permanant? also, it could be just fading. mine took 4 days to stop the "bleeding" process b4 it stayed the color it was dyed.
Why is my hair dye fadingg? stop shampooing ever day you are washing the dye away.
Why is my hair dye fadingg? be couse when u was it some of ur hair falls out so its robing with make the sampoo stuff in if it make ur hair color fade
Why is my hair dye fadingg? You need to use a specific kind of shampoo and conditioner to keep the dye in, it helps not to shampoo it at all the first day or two with black, to just rinse your hair out, and I would also suggest not using Suave or something like that, spend more money on Shampoo and Conditioners, its worth it in the long run.
Why is my hair dye fadingg? Usually washing your hair is what has the most impact on fading... the more you touch it up, the less it will fade. To help you can get special conditioners (various brands depending on your price range) that have a hint of color in them that help keep your hair from fading... when i used them i did it every week and it worked pretty well.
Why is my hair dye fadingg? use conditioners that will keep the colour in...plus leave it alone on weekends...like on a sataday or sunday leave it alome then wash it on a sunday to get rid of grease or whatever ^_^ i did the same thing, but i accidently dyed it black...streightening naturally takes out the colour
Why is my hair dye fadingg? Um, because you shampoo daily, use heat and product everyday. Hair dye isn't perfect. It's gonna fade, permanent or not, if you add too much heat, or product or even too much sun. If you want it to last longer, straighten your hair once a week, use less product and only wash every other day or so. Even then, it'll still fade. Blue tones are kind of difficult to keep, and your natural hair will always shine through.
Why is my hair dye fadingg? It could be lack of protein in your hair. And protein is what make's it grasp on to your hair and stay in. normally when you dye your hair the first washed should take down the dye a little bit, and then no more. So I would try and use a shampoo that is sulfate free, (sulfate does not mix with the hair dye, and makes it fade fast) try using back to basics color stay. if you striaghten it every day you should use a serum (chi serum works the best) to gaurd your hair cuticle which contains the dye. Shampoo only everyother day, and then condition everyday.
Why is my hair dye fadingg? It is not designed to be permanent! In fact, no hair dye is!
Why is my hair dye fadingg? maybe going to a hairdressers to get it dyed would help, as they will know the right products to use.
i got my hair dyed at the hairdressers the other month and the advice they gave me to help stop it fading as fast is after you have washed your hair leave the conditioner on, for around an hour, then jump back in the shower and wash it out thoroughly
it gives more moisture to the hair and keeps the color locked in for longer :)
and my hair color now is the same as when i got it done a month ago!
hope i helped :)
Why is my hair dye fadingg? If you will use cool water and shampoo with a color care shampoo and conditioner, it will really cut down on the fading! Hot water will make your color fade, big time! Redken color extend shampoo and conditioner are great! Good luck!
Why is my hair dye fadingg? its prolly the straightening.. straighetning makes my highlighs and stuff fade but its retarted becuase i have to straighten my hair or i look like a monkey on speed :[ lmao. you probably just have to get it touched up and stuff! =D
